Winton Finale: Sterling Champions Again, Crooke Calls It the Best Round Ever
The 2025 ADC season ended where Cameron Waters once lapped within two seconds of his Supercars time — and produced racing that Jon Crooke said was the best the series had ever seen.
Winton Motor Raceway has a special place in the Hyper Racer story. It was here in November 2022 that Cameron Waters lapped the X1 in 1:16.7 seconds — faster than his own Supercars pole time at the same circuit — and gave the car its most powerful single endorsement. In November 2025, the ADC returned for its season finale and produced something Jon Crooke called "probably our best round ever."
Damon Sterling had already secured his second consecutive championship title before the Winton finale, but the absence of a title fight took nothing away from the racing.
"The whole field's doing such a good job," Crooke said after the weekend. "If a top driver is having an off weekend, they are outside the top 10."
