Sterling Seals Back-to-Back — Damon Sterling Wins the 2025 ADC Championship
With one round still remaining, Damon Sterling clinched his second consecutive Australian Drivers' Championship title in the Hyper Racer X1.
Damon Sterling came into the 2025 Australian Drivers' Championship as defending champion and left it the same way. The Ironclad ID driver clinched his second consecutive title with a round to spare — the clearest possible statement of dominance in a series that has grown substantially more competitive since he first won it in 2024.
The Masters' Championship — open to drivers aged 40 and above — was claimed by Hamish Leighton of Stoke Foiling, also clinching one round early.
The 2025 season ran over six rounds at circuits including Winton, The Bend, One Raceway, Calder Park, and Sydney Motorsport Park. Television coverage on SBS, Fox Sports and Kayo brought the championship to a national audience that has been growing each season.
Sterling's back-to-back titles arrive in the same year the fiftieth X1 was built and the first full grids were achieved. For a championship that began in 2024, the progression has been rapid.
