BLAIR'S NEW CHARIOT
Photos by Gary Trounson - Story by Jon Crooke
Wakefield Park
20th September 2008
Matthew Blair had his first drive of his new HyperRacer HC (hand controls) at Wakefield Park on Saturday.

The HyperRacer HC has been designed for leg impaired drivers and has hand controls for throttle and brake.

In it's shake-down run, manufacturer and designer, Dean Crooke took the HyperRacer HC out for a 3 lap test. Having never driven with hand controls and lifting off the throttle in the straights to look after the new engine, Dean lapped in the low 1:09's. These times would have put him mid field in the following day's racing. Dean concluded that the HyperRacer HC is capable of the same lap times as the standard HyperRacer.

The HyperRacer HC retails at the same price as the standard Hyper ($11,000) ready to race. It can also be purchased without the engine.
