HYPER DRIVE DAY

Hyper Racer recently ran a drive day at Winton Raceway.
Two seats were available on the day and the drivers selected to test were Michael Cullinan and Guy Steuart. Michael Cullinan is a long time racer, having raced sprint karts, road race motor cycles, Formula Vee and a 944 Porsche. 15 year old, Guy Steuart had never raced anything in his life. Each driver completed over 30 laps of the long circuit and both had the 2006 and 2007 Vic Championship winning HyperRacer's at their disposal. The day was a great success and Hyper hopes to run similar days in 2008. You can watch an on-board video of a lap at Winton HERE.  Michael Cullinan currently races a 944 Porsche. After he drove the HyperRacer he said "That's got a lot more corner speed than the Porsche and is ten times more physical to drive. I like it." The HyperRacer laps Winton, seven seconds a lap faster, than his Porsche. |
 Guy Steuart, had never driven a racing kart before the Winton test day. He displayed a very professional attitude and apart from one quick spin in the last session, he drove faultlessly all day. |
