TEST - PRO RACER
Story by John Crooke.
Winton Raceway
11 September 2009
Over the last few months we have conducted an extensive test program of the PRO Racer at Winton, Calder and Haunted Hills, and after another productive day at Winton last Friday we have now completed of Phase 1 of this program. In addition to myself and Dean driving the car, we have been fortunate to have received driving feedback from a number of experienced drivers. The results have exceeded our expectations and impressed those have driven it, with the Pro racer proving to be a powerful, neutrally balanced and easy to drive race car - both in dry and wet conditions. Karters reading this will be pleased to know that due to the suspension, it is also physically much easier to drive than a Sprint Kart or Super Kart. Sprint Kart star and PRO Racer test driver, Scott McLaughlin, easily adapted to the machine. The incredible torque the motor produces makes the required throttle control application an exciting challenge to master.

Attached below are two charts that show how the Hyper PRO Racer fits into the racing car community both in performance and cost.
The charts divide the classes into three categories based on price and ongoing running costs; Pro, Semi-Pro and Amateur. The PRO Racer fares exceptionally well in the comparisons, being the fastest of the Semi-Pro and Amateur categories while at the same time being the cheapest.

The next phase of our program will include the completion of all CAD drawings for production and continuing development of the final bodywork design.
